Meet The Directors

Richard Bond

Richard has been at SKV Communications, one of Manchester’s most respected independent PR agencies, for ten years.

As SKV’s Director of Strategy he works across many different sectors for a diverse range of organisations with a particular specialisation in public sector, cultural and business to business communications. Current and prior client experience includes The Lowry, MOSI, The Lever Arts Prize, Future Everything, Salford University, Manchester Enterprises, MIDAS, Manchester: Knowledge Capital, Manchester University, Swinton Insurance and architects BDP.

Prior to joining SKV, Richard worked in business development for a number of full-service marketing and creative agencies in Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire. He also has a decade’s experience in media sales and sponsorship for publications such as The Guardian, The Observer, The International Guardian Weekly, City Life Magazine and The Big Issue in the North.

Despite being born, raised and educated in the South East – and having spent the first part of his career at The Guardian in London – Richard is a great advocate of the North West and has called Manchester his home for over twenty years. He was a founder of The Friends of Angel Meadow and is a former trustee of Manchester’s flagship community media initiative Radio Regen.

He lives in Prestwich, north Manchester, from where he commutes to Manchester daily on a battered 1970s five-speed racer.
